Mormon Reflections: The Path to Mountain Meadows"Anyone who reads this book will never look at the Mountain Meadows Massacre in the same way again."  —Montrue Larkin, a living legend in St. George, Utah

"Beth Moore is an uncommon voice among Utah Mormon historical novels. In her book, she presents the story of the infamous Mountain Meadows Massacre without apology nor undue villainy. Years of research and access to rare personal diaries from the period give credibility to her characters as well as historical accuracy." —Geraldine Felt,
prominent Utah poet

"In Mormon Reflections: The Path to Mountain Meadows, Beth Moore has recounted an historical event long shrouded in rumor and controversy. Based on careful research, her novel portrays the oncflicts and forces that engulfed the members of a pioneer community, and led to tragedy. The novel does not exonerate, it elucidates. A 'good read'." —Elaine K. Barnes, school psychologist, Eugene, Oregon

"What a marvelous work is this new book, Mormon Reflections: The Path to Mountain Meadows, which is for everyone to enjoy! It is a masterful result of years of skilled hunting and gathering for every bit and detail of available information, to bring into focus this 'happening' from the distant past. This has required the untiring examination of a myriad of writings; published and private. Beth Moore's quiet belief has grown, over the years, into a determination that this must be brought forth clearly and well. We are delighted that, though shaky at times, she has weathered the problems along the way. With confidence and integrity Beth has accomplished what, to many others, appeared to be impossible." —Robert F. Bitner, M.D. (long-time dear friend of Beth Moore)

"I read a draft of Beth Moore's Mormon Reflections: The Path to Mountain Meadows, and was thoroughly enchanted by this first book that has taken twenty-five years to write. The characterization is 'round and full' and her characters are consistently believable. Sarah, especially, develops 'through the things that she suffered' to be a fine example of womanhood. In my considered opinion, this is the best novel about the Mountain Meadows Massacre I've read, and I want each of my children and grandchildren to have a copy. Thanks, Beth, for a wonderful 'read'." —Dixie Lee Powell, retired English professor and great-granddaughter of John D. Lee
